Fill a rocks glass to the top with crushed ice
Place 4 slices of ginger root into a shaker and muddle
Pour in 1 oz of lemon juice, 0.75 oz of homemade honey & ginger syrup, 1 oz of strega and 1.5 oz of mezcal
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake
Finely strain into the rocks glass
Use a clothespin to garnish the cocktail with lemon zest, a green basil leaf and cardamom seeds
