Homemade brandied cherries syrup

For 5 oz: Mix 20 bar spoons of fresh-frozen cherries, orange zest, 2 pieces of clove, 1 peppercorn and 2 cinnamon sticks. Add 3.5 oz of white rum, 0.35 oz of lime juice, and 3.5 oz of sugar. Simmer until sugar is dissolved, then let the mixture cool and strain.
